The National League takes a break this week while the National Cups take centre stage. After the heroics in Maree last weekend, SSE Airtricity Moycullen take on St Vincent’s BC in Dublin on Saturday in the President’s Cup. St Vincent’s may not play in the National League but are one of the best clubs in the country and at home will pose a serious challenge to the Division 1 leaders. On Sunday the Under 18 Boys have a home quarter final against Templeogue. The game in the Jes tips off at 5.00pm and should be a cracker against last year’s cup champions. Other basketball in Galway this weekend includes the all-Galway President’s Cup tie between Titans and Maree. This tips off at 7.00pm in Knocknacarra and should be a cracker. On Sunday NUIG Mystics play Killester at 1.30pm in the Senior Women’s National Cup in Calasanctius College.
