Cup Weekend in Galway; U18 Girls take on Glanmire

This Sunday is Cup Final day for in Galway Juvenile Basketball with 3 matches taking place in the Jes. Moycullen have 2 teams participating on the day. Our U14 boys play Maree at 10am and then our U16 boys also play Maree at 1.30pm. Details of the Juvenile competiotions can be found on the Galway Juvenile Basketball website. The fourth scheduled final (U16 Girls) is not going ahead tomorrow as our U18 girls are playing in the National Cup in Glanmire at 2pm tomorrow. It will be a very tough battle for the girls as Glanmire have 5 U18 girls on the Irish team and would be one of the favourites to win the Cup and our girls are a very young team with most of them having 2 more years to play at this age level. However, our girls are fighters and are going down to play their hardest and are looking forward to a good tough game. Given some of the scalps they’ve taken already nobody should rule them out.
