Killannin Community Centre enjoyed a festival of basketball Saturday 20 November with no less than six Moycullen juvenile girls teams in action during the day while across the county in Maree, our U13 Boys had their first competitive fixture.
U17 Girls
Moycullen’s U17 Girls team had an impressive opening day win against a strong Claregalway side on a score line of 26 to 24.
U16 Girls

The U16 Girls team, picture above, were able to register a solid win against neighbours Corrib of Oughterard.
U15 Girls
Moycullen’s U15 Girls have three teams entered into the Galway League, Moycullen Greens, Moycullen Whites and MBC 3.
It was an all-parish derby when MBC 3 just got the better against Moycullen Whites. Meanwhile, Moycullen Green had a great win over Corrib.


U14 Girls
Moycullen have two teams in the U14 Galway League, Moycullen White and Moycullen Green. While Moycullen Green await their first game (vs Maree Sunday 28 November), Moycullen White had a dramatic winning start to their campaign when a last second basket gave them a one point victory over Titans on a scoreline of 19 to 18!
U13 Boys
Moycullen has two teams in the U13 Boys League this season.
Moycullen’s U13 Boys “White” had a really encouraging start to their 2021/2022 season when they put up a strong fights against a strong Maree team away from home in Maree in their first game back. There were plenty of signs of the positive development of many of the players so keep it up lads! Moycullen “Greens” get underway next week.
