SuperLeague Home Game

the team will be hoping for another big performance from Isaiah

SuperLeague basketball returns to the Kingfisher this weekend when we welcome Neptune to Galway on Saturday evening, 9th February, with a 7:30pm tip-off.

After a super display in our last home game against Killorglin on 19th January, the team will be hoping that a repeat performance can see them through what will be a tough game against the outfit from North Cork.

Our team defence against the Kerry team last time out in Galway was key to the victory as we held what had been a high scoring offence to only 57 points will connecting for 82 ourselves.

The previous meeting against Neptune in October down in Cork was a high-scoring free-flowing game of basketball, one in which we came away with a tough road victory; 111 – 90.

The Cork men have proven to be a quality outfit in their return to the SuperLeague and nothing less than a full defensive effort, while being efficient and clinical on offence will suffice.

Steven Heaney after winning the Nuark3PointChallenge

Don’t forget that everyone at the game has a chance to participate in the Nuark 3 Point Challenge between the 1st & 2nd quarters just get your ticket on entry.

Many thanks to Nuark for their continued support of the club and the team.

We will also another smashing McCambridge’s hamper as the prize in our raffle; get your tickets at half time with the draw between the 3rd & 4th quarters. Thanks so much to McCambridge’s for the support!!!

It’s also the first time that the team will have played a home game since the U18 team’s fantastic win in the U18 National Cup; hopefully we’ll have the Cup and the Billy Kelly trophy on display at the game.

The team need all the support they can get so please make every effort to get into the Kingfisher this weekend to roar the lads on to a victory!!! Tip-off is 7:30pm on Saturday
