Over the Pentecost weekend in May, the U13 boys travelled to Ardres in northern France to participate in the 36th Annual Henri Soux International Tournament. Twenty-four teams from France, Europe and Africa took part.
On the Saturday, following a parade through the town, the boys had two tough classification games against Guyane and Thessaloniki (the tournament runners up). An early start on Sunday, led to the first of three games before the “All Star” game on Sunday night, where Mark Bradley represented Moycullen.
After another early start on Monday, the boys had two games to finish off the tournament prior to commencing the long journey home. A big thanks to the host families in Ardres, the coaches Gerald Lyons and Dylan Cunningham, and the travelling parents Carmel, Steve and Neil who made the trip a great experience.
Moycullen was represented by Mark Bradley, Jack Finn, Eanna Fitzgerald, Pearce Flaherty, Emmet Gwilliam, Jamie Haddock, Padraic McNeela, Fabio Mooney Garcia, Corey Plower, Aaron Sweeney, John Walsh, Patrick Walsh
