The U18 girls took the national shield title with a convincing 71-43 win against a game Tolka Rovers from Dublin. The first quarter was a tight affair with Moycullen just edging it 15-12. Once in their stride however, Tolka were never going to be able to match them as they scored freely. The teams had met only once before in an U14 friendly in Killannin when Moycullen came out on top.

Aine McDonagh took the MVP award but this was essentially a great team performance with all seven girls getting on the scoresheet.
