Big congratulations to Patrick Lyons who was part of the Barking Abbey School team who took the Elite Academy Basketball League (EABL) National Championship in the UK over the weekend. Patrick played big minutes in the final, putting in a strong point-guard performance and he made some big plays down the stretch  including a basket with 30sec left to tie the game. No more than we’d expect from one of our former underage stars. Patrick played with the Moycullen Superleague team before going to Barking Abbey last year and adds this national championship to the AICC U16 (All ireland Club) Title, U18 Cup Silver medal, a number Irish Schools titles and a community games medal. Well done Patrick, the club are proud of you.
