Under 18 Boys face Dublin Lions in National Shield

Sunday sees our U18 boy’s team back in action in the National Shield with a 2pm tip-off in Killannin.
Having beaten Titans in the first round, Moycullen face Dublin Lions in the quarter finals.

While the team will be going in confident having played well in the first round, they will not be underestimating Lions who defeated a very good Ballincollig team in their first round game.
With Sean Candon back to full fitness, the team will be looking to him and his Premier League team mate Darragh Mulkerrins to be their leaders on the court. From the Under 17 team, Rory Heffernan & Joseph Tummon continue to play very well this season and with Kyle Cunningham, Josh Marvesley & Sean Kelly their contribution will be vital to the team. Jack Costelloe will also make a welcome return having been troubled with injury and with Ronan Clancy, Conor Curran & Max Brennan having put in good performances in the U17 games at the weekend the team are really looking forward to the challenge. Eoghan Kelly who was unavailable last weekend is also a vital cog in the team and his defense and fast break scoring will also be crucial if the team is to come away with the win. Unfortunately Dara O’Sullivan is unavailable for the game due to injury.

With the 3on3 blitz on from 10:30pm, it’s a feast of basketball on Sunday in Killannin & all support is very welcome
