The first leg of the Galway League U17 Blitz series took place in Westside on Dec 22nd hosted by Titans Basketball Club.  This is being run by Galway Juvenile Board as a means of ensuring that this age group can continue to play

and compete locally as the number of teams in Galway at this age for the boys no longer allows for a regular league. In the absence of Coach Nollaig Cunningham, Gerald Lyons took charge and steered the team to record wins over Titans and Maree putting them at the top of the table heading into the second leg later this month. Having continued to train hard since their participation as part of the team which competed in the U18 National Cup  the guys performed well and put in two very solid team  performances on the day with all players contributing .
