Good luck to our Under 18 girls and boys go out in search of glory in their respective National Cup competitions this weekend. Both teams are involved in qualifying groups from which the Cup semi-finalists will emerge. They will hope to go one better than last year’s Under 18 Boys who were beaten finalists. The girls, coached by Premier League captain Paul O’Brien, travel to Rosemount Secondary School where they will initially take on Carrig Na Bhfear Rebels and Meteors. The boys go to Killorgin where they face St Brendan’s and Limerick Lakers. The boys are coached by senior men’s chairperson and SSE Renewables Moycullen player Nollaig Cunningham. Full details of the groups and competitions can be seen on Basketball Ireland website.
SSE Renewables Moycullen are in action in Cork where they take on Neptune in the first of two National Cup games. The return game is Saturday week (16th) in Kingfisher at 6.30. See a National Cup preview at Basketball Ireland.
