Maigh Cuilinn compete in the Galway League, training and playing their home games on Wednesday evenings in Westside Community Centre. Last season they were crowned Division 2 champs and this year are competing well in Division 1 and look like strong contenders to have a top three finish.

Senior Women’s basketball has been played in Maigh Cuilinn from at least 1968 when the local league finals were reported in the Connacht Tribune. Since then, we have had some fantastic Women’s teams who have benefited from a vibrant Galway League throughout the decades.

If you are looking to get back into basketball after having played a bit in school, or simply want to give the sport a go, why not contact us and come along to a training session or pop into a game for a look.
