Players born in 2009 are eligible for the U-16 Boys for the season 2024/2025.

November 2025

We have a large U16 boys squad of 30 players. We’re proud to have two U16 boys teams, Cumann Cispheile Maigh Cuilinn Ban and Cumann Cispheile Maigh Cuilinn Glas, both competing in the Galway Basketball League. Both teams are also looking forward to competing in the Galway U16 Boys Cup.

In the 2025/26 season, a team from the squad will compete in the inaugural Basketball Ireland U16 Boys regional tournament. Three days of tournaments will take place around the country in various locations in Dublin, Cork and Kerry, culminating in a final fourth tournament to determine an U16 regional tournament winner. Our U16 Boys team will travel to UCD Marian on Nov 16th for the first of three competitive tournaments, where they will meet Belfast Star and Ennis Rockets in Round 1. We travel again in December and February.

Our U16 boys are also looking forward to travelling to Cork in December to compete in a Cork County Board tournament.

The group have fantastic passion and enthusiasm for the game, and display comradery, friendship, and fairplay along side their competitive spirit, in every training session and game.
