A sincere thank you to everyone who helped organise and support this year’s Cispheil Céilí. The time and effort that goes into making the day happen each year is always appreciated.
Held in the Killannin Sports Centre, the day once again proved to be the biggest event in the calendar for Cumann Cispheile Mhaigh Cuilinn. With games involving every team in the club, along with face painting, raffles, bake sale, gear swap shop, it was a real celebration of everything that makes the club special — our players, volunteers, families, and supporters from Maigh Cuilinn and beyond.
From early morning through to the evening games, the hall was full of energy as players of all ages took to the court. A true highlight each year is seeing the entire club together in the one place, something that doesn’t happen often.
Congratulations to all the teams who took part in the club’s Team Fundraiser Competition. The effort across the club was fantastic. In the end we couldn’t separate the top teams, with a three-way tie between the U11 Girls, U12 Girls, and U15 Boys.
As part of their prize, at least one of these teams has decided their coach will face the ice-bucket challenge at this Saturday’s National League game vs Maree (7pm). If you want to see who takes the soaking, come along to the game at the University of Galway Kingfisher and find out on the night
Funds raised on the day will go directly towards supporting the club throughout the year, including equipment, hall hire, and helping our teams continue to train and compete.
