Congratulations are in order for our very own Paul O’Brien who has been named by Basketball Ireland as the Women’s Division One Coach of the Month for November.

Paul, who is a member of our Men’s Superleague team and coaches our U10 Girls, is a full time professional coach and has led NUIG Mystics to the top of the MissQuote.ie Division One South Table.

NUIG Mystics have enjoyed a fantastic start to the season and boast a five and one winning record. While our U10 and U11 Girls teams can’t take all the credit, they were guests of honour at Mystics recent home win over Phoenix Rockets of Belfast and perhaps their great display at the half time break helped inspire the Mystics players!

NUIG Mystics are the only Galway based women’s team competing in Basketball Ireland’s national leagues and with a Moycullen man at the helm and the team riding high in the table, why not get in and support them if you can! You can find their fixtures on Basketball Ireland’s website here.
