Moycullen players Paul Kelly and James Connaire had very successful tournaments as they helped the Ireland Under 18 men finish in 16th place at the 2019 FIBA U18 Men’s European Championship Division B in Romania on Sunday last. This was the first time an Irish mens U18 team finished in the middle section and the lads can be very proud of the achievement. Paul captained the side and both lads started all 8 games – a huge personal achievement and also one for the Moycullen Basketball Club to provide the captain and two starters. With a small bit of luck, they might have made top 8 but the margins are very small at this level.
