Eoghan Maxwell’s U14s made the trek to Cork on Saturday to take part in the Cork County Board tournament. The lads got the worst possible draw – being handed a 9:00 a.m. game against St Brendan’s Tralee. They gave their all, but being short of numbers, it was always going to be an uphill battle. Their second game against local powerhouse Fr. Mathews proved equally tough but the boys competed right to the final whistle. Last up was a very strong Sligo All Stars team were Moycullen competed strongly for three quarters before Sligo were able to pull away. The team is improving with every game & these tournaments will be of great benefit on that learning curve.
