Brendan (Beano) McDonagh a young jockey from Moycullen, Co. Galway, remains in hospital in Ko Samui, Thailand, following a serious motorbike accident four weeks ago. Brendan was on holidays on the island, when the accident occurred just days before he was due to return to Ireland. He has undergone numerous surgeries to his arm and jaw and is currently unable to travel home due to the extent of his injuries. His brother Gerry is with him at the moment. He may be fit to travel with a medical team in 4-5 weeks Brendan’s spirits are upbeat and he is staying positive.
His family and friends are currently fundraising to pay for medical costs in Thailand and to assist with repatriating Brendan to Ireland. The McDonagh Family would like to thank all those who have assisted, so far, with fundraising and also would like to thank everyone for the generous donations received.
