U18 Girls advance to National Shield final

Moycullen U18 girls beat Carraig Na Bhfear rebels in cork in the national cup semi final on Sunday in Whitechurch Cork on an 81-56 scoreline. The girls were losing by a point at half time (35-34) as they missed the presence of point guard Ailbhe Davoren who didn’t start due to illness. Restored to the position in the second half, which improved the balance of the team, the game drifted away from the rebels as Moycullen tacked on 47 points effortlessly. The girls now play Ulster Elks from Belfast in the Kingfisher on March 29th in the final and will need all of your support. A special thanks to Paul O’Brien who traveled from Dublin at short notice to coach the girls.
Squad: Evvie Lowndes, Shannon Keady, Romy Cunningham, Meghan Davoren, Ailbhe Davoren, Megan O’Donnell, Aine McDonagh & Catherine Connaire.
