A good crowd turned up at The Forge Monday 1oth November to mark the launch of the new season. Chairperson Mary Gilson acknowledged the contributions of players, coaches, volunteers and sponsors into the success of the club which is one of the biggest and most successful basketball clubs in the country. Mary also highlighted some of the many successes from last season. John O’Sullivan of SSE Airtricity reiterated SSE’s commitment to helping the club maintain its flagship National League men’s team and to developing the highest possible standard of coaching in the club. To this end the club welcomed back Salva Camps as Technical Director. Salva is committed to helping the many club coaches to get the best out of the limited training time available.
SSE Airtricity have strong track records in supporting local communities and in supporting sport at all levels, whether on the national or regional stage. They’re proud supporters of Irish sports and we’re delighted that the team at SSE Airtricity are adding their support to our club again this season.
