Moycullen’s Under 18 Boys travel to Castleisland this weekend where they take on Kestrels (Mullingar) and the hosts St Mary’s in the qualifying competition for the Under 18 National Cup. First and second in this group then cross play with one of UCD Marian, Waterford Vikings or Belfast Star to qualify for the knock-out stages of the competition. All of these teams will pose come from strong clubs and a difficult weekend is in store for the lads.

They will be missing some players in Sean Kelly who has been in hospital (the team wish him a speedy recovery), Dara O Sullivan who has been out due to  injury since  the start of the season and Joseph Tummon who is on duty with the U19 Irish Water polo Squad in Swansea. However Coach Nollaig Cunningham will be confident the squad of Kyle Cunningham, Rory Heffernan, Jack Costelloe, Conor Egan, John Hackett, Eoghan Kelly, Connor Curran, Ronan Clancy, and Max Brennan will give a good account of themselves. A special welcome back to Conor Egan who is returning after a year break. Best of luck lads.
