After the frantic activity of the Galway Juvenile Finals this weekend two other successful Moycullen teams represent Galway in the All Ireland Club Championships (AICC). Our Under 16 Girls are in action in St Mary’s, Portlaoise and the Under 14 Boys play in the Oblate Hall, Inchicore. Both teams play 2 round-robin matches on Saturday the results of which will leave them playing for the All Ireland (Division 1), Division 2 or Division 3 titles in play-offs. The girls face Fr Matthews and Liffey Celtics, opponents that the team and coach Paul O’Brien know well. The boys face East Cavan Eagles and Old Leighlin in Group 1, and while they may not be familiar opponents, coach Martin Burke will not be underestimating their ability or determination.
