Moyculllen U16 girls saw off Maree’s challange for the County title on Sunday last in the Jes  before a large and vociferous crowd. Having lost to Maree in the cup, Moycullen approached the game in a much more diligent fashion and gave their opposition due respect. A tense first quarter saw the girls lead 9-8 but in the process, we picked up several fouls which altered the game-plan thereafter. the second quarter essentially decided the game with Moycullen doing really well from the line & Maree conceding two technicals. The depth of the bench was a significant factor with both Sorcha  Whyte & Romy Cunningham in foul trouble.

All of the team made a contribution on the day and the team now go forward to the AICCs in Portlaoise/Portarlington in April. The final score of 47-34 reflected the general play on the day but there will be more good battles between these teams in the future.
