The Galway Area Board have just posted end-of-year updates of the current situation in their Men’s and Ladies leagues and the draws for the cup competitions. Both Moycullen teams are doing well and still have their eyes on possible silverware this season. The Moycullen men have qualified for the top-half playoffs in what looks like a very competitive league.  The cup draw also looks enticing where they meet a strong Claregalway team in the tie of the first round.

The Moycullen Ladies have won a number of close-fought games but the experience of Claregalway and the strength of Titans Ladies basketball have proved difficult so far and these teams continue to set the pace.  The ladies are currently in 3rd place and hope to improve their standing in the second half of the season. Moycullen will face Carna in the first round of the cup and would hope to get one over on the League leaders in this competition.
