Moycullen U16 girls started their pre-season with a visit to Limerick Celtics invitational tournament. Taking part were arguably the top eight teams on the country less Kilenkere. Moycullen travelled with an understrength squad due to absences through illness. The girls were grouped with Brunel & Meteors and played their typical pressing, fast game to overcome Brunel in the first by three & Meteors in the 2^nd by 20 odd points. The squad was further depleted at this point and faced an improving Liffey Celtics team in the semi and while they led at the break, they could not maintain the effort and eventually lost on by eight……The squad are looking forward to the games ahead on improving their fitness levels and doing their best to retain their All Ireland crown…..one game at a time…
